Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC) has notified customers in Ogun State of scheduled power outages from 28 July due to maintenance work by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
In a statement released on Monday, IBEDC explained that the maintenance would be carried out on the Omotosho–Ikeja West 330kV transmission line between 28 July and 21 August, running daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“As a result, customers in Ogun State, except those in Ijebu Ode, Sagamu Town, and Ogunmakin, will experience supply interruptions during this period,” the company stated.
IBEDC expressed regret for the inconvenience the outages may cause, assuring customers that the disruptions were necessary for the safe and efficient execution of the maintenance work.
Earlier, on 25 July, Ikeja Electric (IKEDC) and Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) issued similar notices to their customers, announcing intermittent power supply and load management due to the same TCN maintenance activities.
