Oyo Police partner DSS, student leaders to enhance state security

The Oyo State Police Command has intensified efforts to boost security through enhanced collaboration with key stakeholders, including intelligence agencies and student leadership.

The Commissioner of Police, Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, hosted the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) during a courtesy visit at the Command Headquarters in Ibadan. According to the Command, the meeting focused on strengthening inter-agency cooperation, improving intelligence sharing, and reinforcing operational synergy to better safeguard lives and property across the state.

In a related engagement, the Police Commissioner also received the leadership of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), South West Zone. Discussions centered on fostering mutual understanding and strengthening the relationship between the Police and the student community.

The NAPS delegation reaffirmed its commitment to remain law-abiding and pledged support for the Command’s initiatives aimed at maintaining peace.

The Command noted that these engagements reflect its ongoing commitment to inclusive policing and strategic partnerships as part of broader measures to enhance public safety.
