The Oyo State Government has begun the 2025 promotion exercise for about 3,000 secondary school teachers across the state, officials said on Friday.

The Chairperson of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Olubukola Oladipo, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise while monitoring the process.

She urged teachers to reciprocate the gesture of the Seyi Makinde administration by contributing to the development of the education sector in the state.

Oladipo said the exercise was designed to reward diligence and hard work, stressing the need for teachers to maintain high standards in their duties.

She also called on participants to demonstrate professionalism, dedication and punctuality.

The Permanent Secretary of TESCOM, Serifat Abimbola, said teachers play a critical role in nation-building and should remain focused on delivering quality education.

She urged beneficiaries to see the promotion as a call to greater service and renewed commitment.

The monitoring team was led by Oladipo and Abimbola, alongside other senior officials of the Commission.
