Concerned Progressives, a group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has issued a warning to party members regarding the use of derogatory language against leadership.

The group called for a return to party discipline and institutional respect following a controversial viral video.

The reaction stems from a video featuring a female member from Atisbo Local Government, Olubiyi Florence Yetunde, who reportedly referred to the Oyo APC State Chairman, Otunba Moses Alake, as Romi, a term the group deems highly insulting.

Describing the remark as a deeply disrespectful affront to the Chairman’s dignity, the group has formally requested that the State Working Committee investigate the matter and apply sanctions in accordance with the party’s constitution.

The group emphasized that Otunba Alake is widely respected for his maturity and calm disposition.

They argued that public insults directed at leadership weaken internal cohesion and send negative signals to the electorate regarding the party’s stability.

According to the group, the APC must uphold its tradition of discipline to prevent further acts of insubordination that could undermine the party’s structure ahead of future political engagements.
