The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has taken Nigeria’s Blue Economy campaign to the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, where he participated in a high-level panel discussion on maritime development and sustainability.

The summit, held in Nairobi, brought together African leaders, policymakers, investors, and development partners to advance conversations on innovation, economic growth, and strategic partnerships across the continent.

The Minister participated in a panel session titled “Blue Economy Maritime Sovereignty & Sustainable Valorization,” where discussions focused on strengthening Africa’s maritime potential and sustainable utilisation of ocean resources.

The session also featured Catherine Chabaud and other maritime stakeholders from across Africa.

According to the organisers, the summit provided a platform for governments and industry leaders to explore collaborative approaches toward unlocking opportunities within the blue economy sector.
