Student leaders from various higher institutions in Osun State have publicly stated that Governor Ademola Adeleke has surpassed the achievements of the previous administration’s 12-year tenure in less than three years.
During a recent appraisal, representatives from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the National Association of Osun Students (NAOS) commended Governor Adeleke for his administration’s “passionate dedication to state development.” Comrade Ayobami Solomon Abel, Chairman of the NANS Joint Campus Council, Osun Axis, declared that the governor’s positive impact is “self-evident across Osun today.” The student bodies subsequently endorsed Governor Adeleke for a second term.
Comrade Adedibu Mustafa Akinsumbo, President of NAOS, corroborated this, highlighting the administration’s progress in key sectors including agriculture, education, health, and infrastructure. He noted that workers, farmers, and artisans have also shown their support for the governor’s re-election, citing his “exceptional performance.”
In his response, Governor Adeleke expressed gratitude for the student leaders’ appraisal, stating that such endorsements empower his administration to “break new grounds in governance.” He challenged the opposition to acknowledge the public’s support for his “Imole continuity.”
In a show of appreciation, Governor Adeleke approved two coastal buses for NANS and NAOS, ordered a technical assessment of all campus internal roads, and committed to giving urgent attention to student bursaries. He also pledged to strengthen the Office of Student Affairs, ensuring their support is not taken for granted.
