The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Hon. Sunday Bisi, has once again challenged two senators who recently defected from the party to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to officially declare their switch in their respective constituencies.

Senators Francis Fadahunsi and Olubiyi Fadeyi, representing Osun East and Osun Central senatorial districts, respectively, had cited irreconcilable differences within the PDP as their reason for leaving in separate letters.

According to Bisi, the lawmakers left without the support of any other party members or leaders.

Power is from God, people are the repository of such power; those lawmakers are mere beneficiaries of the expression of our people’s interest, and they left without anybody following them to APC,” he said in Osogbo.

He questioned their move, stating, “If you know you’re capable and have people behind you, you’ll decamp in Abuja or at the Red Chamber, come back again and do that declaration so that people know how many are with you.”

Bisi claimed that no other members of the party’s assembly, executives, or leaders have followed them to the APC.

The Chairman also expressed confidence in the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the upcoming 2026 governorship election.

He highlighted the governor’s undefeated political history and asserted that his achievements since taking office in 2022 will be key to securing victory.

“The Governor’s achievements will speak for him when it is time for people to cast their votes,” Bisi said.
