NigerianNewsDirect observed security personnel ensuring a secure environment for local government workers resuming work after the strike.

Speaking on Monday in Osogbo, the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Osun state chapter, Comrade Kehinde Nathaniel commended the council workers for resumed fully to their different duty post.

He urged APC chairmen to wait for outcome of the the Federal High Court judgement.

According to him, “There is no crisis, we have told our members not to cause any crisis. I have told them they should get to me immediately if there is suspicion of any crisis.

“I will use this opportunity to appeal to the APC to please wait outside and allow the Court to decide what they have heard from the Federal High Court.

“We are working with the rule of law, but now as they have occupied the local government, we embrace them, but they cannot force us to do what we are not supposed to do, because normally, because the court has not satisfied them as the political head of local government, so doing anything with them now will be illegal. We continue to be law abiding.”

Speaking, Vice Chairman, Osogbo Local Government, Hon. Latona Rasak lauded the turnout of the council workers in the local government.

Rasak called on the workers to fast-track their efforts to make up for what they have lost almost a year of strike for the development at the grassroots.
