The newly deployed Commissioner of Police for Osun State, CP Samuel Etaifo Erale has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, at the Commission’s State Head Office in Osogbo.
The visit followed the Commissioner’s assumption of duty in the state after his deployment by the Inspector-General of Police.
During the intersction, CP Erale formally introduced himself to the INEC Chairman and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to maintaining a cordial working relationship with the Commission in the discharge of its electoral responsibilities.
The INEC Chairman also welcomed the new Commissioner of Police to Osun State and expressed confidence in the continued collaboration between INEC and the Police to promote peaceful, secure and credible electoral processes.
