The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun state, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO, has reaffirmed his avowed commitment to raise the bar of traditional institution when elected Governor.
Oyebamiji declared that his administration would be holding regular meetings with the traditional rulers as part of efforts to take governance to the grassroots.
AMBO reassured that traditional rulers would play prominent roles in his government saying “our Royal Fathers remain the closest to the people at the grassroots and they would be placed in their rightful position.”
This is just as the Olokuku of Okuku, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abioye Oyebode Oluronkeji, Aragbiji of Iragbiji, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Olobaagun of Obaagun, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Adebisi Okunade, Oloyan of Otan, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kilani Adekoye Oyedare, Eburu of Iba, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adekunle Adeosun Oyedeji and Elende of Eko-Ende, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Waheed Babatunde Adekunle, lauded Oyebamiji’s indelible imprints in both public and private sectors.
Addressing the revered traditional rulers in their palaces and mammoth crowds in Okuku, Ikirun, Iba and Iragbiji, Oyebamiji noted that his administration would restore the lost glory of the traditional institution.
Oyebamiji maintained that his administration would be fair to all particularly the Royal Fathers who are the voices of their subjects and domains.
He said: “I have been in government and I know the value of our fathers. I know that every politics is local and the roles played by our traditional rulers can not be quantified. As such, our administration would be fair to all. We will ensure that our father are fully involved in the running of the state’s affairs. They will be active participants and we will be holding regular meetings with them.
“I want to assure our fathers that our government will be friendly with the traditional institutions and we will ensure that we are meeting regularly review and restrategise for the goodness, betterment and advancement of our state”, Oyebamiji assured.
He pledged to prioritize people’s welfare and general well-being noting that every citizen will have a say in his government as masses would be the deciders of whatever they want.
Oyebamiji whose campaign team toured major towns in Odo-Otin Local Government Area including Inisa, Igbaye, Eekosin, Agbeye, Okua, Faaji, Oyan, Asi, Asaba, Ijabe, Ikirun expressed delight in the impressive turnouts across the nooks and crannies of the federal constituency.
Recall that Oyebamiji’s campaign train has been moving from local government to another to canvass votes.
