In a move to consolidate the All Progressives Congress (APC) stronghold within the Ife axis, the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Aare Benjamin Kayode Adereti has sought the support of leaders in the Modakeke area.
The Deputy Governorship candidate made this known when he led a delegation on a consultation visit to grassroots leader Oluomo Alhaji Fatai Kolawole at the Modakeke Area Office.
The meeting, which drew a large gathering of ward executives, youth canvassers, and women mobilizers, served as a platform to unify party structures ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.
During the session, stakeholders declared their formal support for the joint ticket of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) and Aare Adereti, pledging to deliver a decisive victory for the opposition party.
Addressing the assembly, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole assured the candidate that the APC structure in Modakeke remains formidable and strategically positioned to challenge the ruling party.
He emphasized that the progressive family in the town is politically alert and fully mobilized to sustain its grassroots dominance.
In his remarks, Aare Adereti reaffirmed that the pathway to reclaiming the state lies in aggressive grassroots engagement and seamless coordination among party stakeholders.
He described Modakeke as a critical political base whose numerical advantage and historical loyalty would play a decisive role in shaping the outcome of the forthcoming polls.
The consultation concluded with a collective resolve to intensify mobilization efforts across all wards and polling units.
According to a statement from Adereti’s media office, the visit has refreshed political momentum in the area, signaling a unified front as the APC ramps up its campaign machinery across Osun State.
