The Ondo State Judiciary is mourning the transition of Hon. Justice Bamidele Fola Adeyeye, a distinguished jurist of the State High Court, who passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the age of 65.
The news of his demise was officially confirmed in a statement issued in Akure by the Chief Registrar of the State High Court, Mr. Ayodeji Akinsanya.
Until his passing, Justice Adeyeye served as the presiding judge of High Court 5, Akure, where he earned widespread admiration from colleagues, legal practitioners, and the general public for his erudition, humility, and impartial approach to the Bench.
The judiciary’s statement highlighted that the late jurist leaves behind a significant legacy defined by integrity, fairness, and an unwavering dedication to the rule of law.
Justice Adeyeye was sworn in as a High Court judge on September 8, 2011, marking a career transition from private practice where he successfully managed his law firm, Fola Adeyeye & Co, in his hometown of Okitipupa.
Extending its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the Ondo State Judiciary prayed for the fortitude to bear the loss and for the eternal repose of his soul.
The statement further noted that Justice Adeyeye’s substantial contributions to the growth and development of the state’s legal system would be long remembered by the legal community.
