A former presidential candidate, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the Accord Party, revealing that his political movement has already mobilized more than one million supporters into the party across the country.

Olawepo-Hashim made the disclosure in a statement issued by his media office on Tuesday, noting that his declaration forms part of a broader strategy to build a strong political alternative ahead of the next general elections.

According to him, his political structure has already commenced extensive grassroots mobilization nationwide, with supporters actively engaging communities and recruiting new members into the Accord Party.

The presidential hopeful said the mobilization drive is aimed at creating a formidable political movement capable of addressing Nigeria’s challenges and providing citizens with a credible alternative to the existing major political parties.

Olawepo-Hashim expressed confidence in the growing acceptance of the Accord Party, noting that the increasing number of supporters joining the movement reflects the desire of many Nigerians for a new direction in governance.

He added that efforts would continue to strengthen the party’s presence across the country as preparations intensify for the 2027 presidential election.
