…Hails monarch’s anti-drug campaign, promises continued partnership
The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has called on the people of Orile Alagbado to rally behind their newly installed monarch, His Royal Majesty Oba Adesoga Williams Aderinola Tomia I, in the spirit of unity, development, and cultural pride.
The Chairman made the call during the official coronation ceremony held in Orile Alagbado, describing the event as a historic and transformative moment for the community.
He urged sons and daughters of the land to stand in solidarity with their king, assuring that the traditional institution remains a vital partner in grassroots development.
“Let us build together, grow together, and protect the values that define us,” he said, adding that the community’s collective strength lies in loyalty and unity under the new leadership.
In his speech, the Chairman also lauded Oba Aderinola for his proactive stance against drug abuse, commending the monarch’s early initiatives aimed at youth reorientation and community engagement.
“Kabiesi, your early initiative, especially your campaign against drug abuse and your commitment to community engagement, reflect the quality of a forward-thinking and compassionate leader. May your reign bring honour, peace, and prosperity to Orile Alagbado and beyond,”the Chairman stated.
As a symbol of support for the throne and to aid the king in performing his duties effectively, the Ojokoro LCDA presented a brand-new Lexus SUV to the monarch during the ceremony.
The Chairman said the gesture represents not just a gift but a commitment to preserving and empowering the traditional institution.
The coronation drew dignitaries from government, religious institutions, and the traditional council, as well as residents and well-wishers from within and outside the community.
Oba Aderinola, in his appreciation speech, thanked the government and community for their overwhelming support and pledged to serve the people with integrity, love, and dedication.
“Orile Alagbado will continue to experience peace, unity, and growth,” the monarch assured.
