The Ogun State Government has officially announced the rescheduling of the planned visit of Nigeria’s President, Pres. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing exigencies of office.
In a public notice issued on behalf of the state government, the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, stated that the presidential visit will now take place on Saturday, Apr. 4, 2026, instead of the earlier scheduled date.
The statement explained that the change was necessary due to pressing official engagements and assured residents that all arrangements for the visit remain intact.
According to the notice:
“The Ogun State Government wishes to inform the general public that, due to exigencies of office, the visit of His Excellency, Pres. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to Ogun State has been rescheduled to Saturday, Apr. 4, 2026. The Government regrets any inconvenience this change in schedule may have caused and solicits the understanding and continued cooperation of all stakeholders and members of the public.”
