Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has received political leaders and supporters from Ogun East, including members of the Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD) political family and the late Buruji Kashamu political group, following their resolution to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Receiving the delegation at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun announced on Thursday, that the party welcomed their decision to collapse their political structures into the mainstream leadership of the ruling party.
Abiodun assured the returning and new members of complete integration into APC structures across grassroots levels without discrimination or bitterness, emphasizing the importance of unity ahead of upcoming political cycles.
“We have never seen ourselves as emperors; we remain loyal and patriotic members of the APC who believe in building bridges, accommodating our people and strengthening our political family,” Abiodun stated.
The governor explained that the party’s primary focus across Ogun State remains consolidating political unity and mobilizing support for the administration’s developmental agenda and future electoral goals.
He urged the newly integrated groups to actively participate in party activities and mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates across all levels in Ogun State.
