Obi, Dickson meet behind closed doors

12 Jun 2026

Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi and National leader of the NDC, Senator Seriake Dickson have met behind closed doors.

NewsDirect gathered that the meeting was hosted to resolve recent altercations between Obi’s Obidient movement and the National leader.

Recall that Obi’s ally, Aisha Yesufu had earlier accused the party of electoral fraud. She had also alleged that Dickson is insecure and in a competition with Obi instead of focusing on winning the 2027 general elections for the party.

The meeting, which lasted approximately three hours at Dickson’s house, reviewed the party’s activities and addressed internal issues that had caused friction among stakeholders.

Stakeholders present at the meeting included Senator Victor Umeh, Prof Pat Utomi, amongst others.
