The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has officially announced the completion of the pre-qualification stage for the 2025 Licensing Round, marking a significant step forward in the nation’s energy sector.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Commission’s Head of Media and Strategic Communication, Eniola Akinkuotu, confirmed that successful applicants were notified on March 16 in strict accordance with the round’s established guidelines.
Moving into the next phase, the NUPRC will now permit these pre-qualified entities to lease critical data starting today, which is a mandatory prerequisite for the submission of technical and commercial bids.
Applicants are required to procure this data from two specific authorized sources and must upload evidence of payment to the licensing portal to remain eligible for the final bidding process.
