Noohra pushes past 99 hours despite timer disruption in world record bid

26 Jun 2025

A minor technical hitch occurred during Noohra’s ongoing Guinness World Record attempt for the Longest Dance Marathon by an Individual when the official digital timer briefly stopped at 96 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds.

The glitch, which interrupted the main stopwatch tracking the feat, was swiftly handled with complete transparency. The exact time of the interruption was publicly recorded on a visible board, and the timer was promptly restarted from zero.

Crucially, a dedicated camera has been filming the entire dance marathon continuously without interruption, in line with Guinness World Records’ stringent verification requirements. This unbroken footage will be submitted as official evidence to authenticate the attempt.

As of the latest update, Noohra has danced for over 99 hours and 40 minutes and remains in strong form as she pushes toward the 150-hour goal.

Organisers reaffirmed their commitment to the credibility and transparency of the record-breaking attempt and thanked supporters for their encouragement and understanding throughout the journey.

The dance marathon is being streamed live from Royal Root Mall / Nile Cinema in Ikota, Lagos, and real-time updates are available via: Instagram: @Marygold_tv; TikTok: @noohra_official
