The Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group), Dr Umaru Kwairanga, has credited the exceptional workforce of BUA Group for the conglomerate’s remarkable growth, describing employees as the “primary engine” behind its success.

Kwairanga spoke at the BUA Group Long Service Awards and Night of Excellence, a ceremony honouring staff who have dedicated decades of service to the company.

“In a constantly changing world, where loyalties shift and priorities evolve, the dedication of the individuals we honour is nothing short of extraordinary.

“Your years of service are not mere numbers; they represent growth, challenges overcome, sacrifices made, and victories earned,”Kwairanga said.

The NGX Chairman emphasised that human capital, rather than physical assets, remains the true measure of corporate greatness, and that enduring institutions are built by individuals whose commitment shapes long-term success.

Kwairanga also commended Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, Executive Chairman of BUA Group, describing him as a visionary whose passion for industrial development has fostered both economic empowerment and national progress.

“While Mr Rabiu provides strategic direction, it is the collective effort of staff across all levels that transforms vision into reality,” he added.

He praised BUA’s leadership for cultivating a culture of recognising and honouring employees, saying: “When an organisation values its people, it secures its future.”

Kwairanga encouraged award recipients to see the recognition as a call to further deepen their contributions to both the company and the nation, while reaffirming NGX Group’s commitment to supporting BUA Group through stronger capital markets, investor confidence, and sustained access to long-term funding.
