Mr. Abbas Dan’ile-Moriki has assumed duty as the new Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Katsina State.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Buhari Hamisu, confirmed this in a statement issued on Wednesday.
According to him, Dan’ile-Moriki officially took over leadership of the command on Monday, Sept. 22, from Mr. Aminu Datti.
In his farewell remarks, Datti thanked God and appreciated the officers and men of the command for their support during his tenure. He urged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.
On his part, Dan’ile-Moriki pledged to strengthen security operations and protect critical national assets across Katsina. He assured both the state government and residents of his readiness to adopt effective strategies to safeguard lives and property.
He also reaffirmed the leadership commitment of the NSCDC Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar-Audi, to ensuring the safety and protection of Nigeria’s vital infrastructure.
According to reports,i the new commandant hails from Moriki, in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
