In a continued effort to dismantle financial barriers to higher education, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has officially announced the successful disbursement of tuition funds to the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Division of Agricultural Colleges.
This latest financial intervention, totaling ₦5,966,450 is specifically targeted at supporting the registration fees for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The fund confirmed that 155 students within the agricultural division have directly benefited from this payment, ensuring their academic progress remains uninterrupted by economic constraints.

The disbursement aligns with the broader milestones captured in NELFUND’s latest Daily Status Report, which shows a massive scale-up in operations since the portal’s launch in May 2024. As of mid-April 2026, the fund has processed over 1.7 million applications and successfully reached nearly 1.4 million beneficiaries across the federation.

The total financial commitment by the federal government through this scheme has now surpassed ₦242 billion split between direct institutional fees and student upkeep allowances.
