The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC), Engr. Jennifer Adighije has confirmed her participation in the NewsDirect 15th Anniversary and Award Ceremony scheduled for Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Ballroom, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Adighije is billed to receive the award of Exemplary Leadership in Public Service.
Engr. Adighije will be honoured at the event for her visionary leadership and outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s power sector transformation, particularly through reforms aimed at improving generation capacity, expanding infrastructure, and advancing renewable energy integration.
Appointed as NDPHC Managing Director in August 2024, Engr. Adighije has ushered in a new era for one of Nigeria’s most strategic energy institutions.
With a career spanning power engineering, telecommunications, and banking, she combines technical precision with strategic foresight, making her a driving force in the country’s energy modernisation efforts.
Under her leadership, the NDPHC has recorded significant milestones, including the restoration of two turbines at the Ihovbor Power Plant, which added 230MW to the national grid, the announcement of a ₦500 billion investment in transmission infrastructure, and the advancement of Phase II of the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP)—with a renewed focus on clean and renewable energy.
