The screening committee of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) has cleared former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, to participate in the party’s upcoming presidential primary election.

The committee, led by Aminu Tambuwal, confirmed Obi’s clearance on Wednesday after a rigorous verification exercise of his documentation, party standing, and eligibility criteria at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

Speaking to journalists after receiving his clearance certificate, Obi expressed his gratitude to the screening panel for their transparency and professionalism throughout the vetting process.

He reiterated his commitment to driving a production-centered economy and offering sustainable solutions to the country’s pressing economic and developmental challenges if given the party’s presidential ticket.

Obi also urged party delegates and stakeholders to prioritize competence and visionary leadership during the upcoming primary, emphasizing that the future of the nation relies heavily on selecting leaders with proven integrity and capacity.

The clearance solidifies Obi’s position as a major contender in the race for the NDC presidential ticket as internal party preparations intensify.
