The Nigerian Naira recorded a marginal gain against the US dollar, trading at an official rate of ₦1,331.33 per dollar, according to data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The rate reflects a slight appreciation from the previous session’s rate of ₦1,329.51, moving within an intraday trading band that saw a high of ₦1,332.00 and a low of ₦1,330.00.
Meanwhile, the closing rate settled at ₦1,311.50.
Market activity saw total turnover across the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) reach $196.68 million from 206 deals, with interbank transactions contributing $24.73 million across 37 deals.
