The Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof.Mojisola Adeyeye has been nominated to receive the prestigious “Exemplary Leadership in Public Service” award by Nigerian NewsDirect, one of the nation’s foremost publications dedicated to public sector excellence.
The award is set to be presented at the media company’s 15thAnniversary and Awards ceremony scheduled for Friday, November 28, 2025, in Lagos.
The nomination recognizes the NAFDAC DG’s transformative tenure, which has been defined by firm regulatory reforms and a renewed focus on professionalism and public health protection.
According to the award committee, the nomination acknowledges the agency’s success under the leadership of the DG in strengthening institutional discipline, reducing substandard and counterfeit medical products, and establishing sustainable frameworks for food and drug safety under her leadership.
The media company specifically highlighted several measurable milestones achieved during her administration including WHO maturity level 3 classification, ISO 9001:2015 certification, fiscal discipline and enhanced import control.
The NAFDAC DG will be honoured alongside other notable leaders and institutions at the ceremony.
