Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, has reserved ruling on the bail application filed by social media influencer and self-acclaimed relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO fixing June 9, 2026, for the ruling after hearing arguments from counsel in the matter on Friday.
Blessing CEO is currently facing a two-count charge brought against her by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), bordering on alleged obtaining by false pretence and stealing.
According to the anti-graft agency, the defendant allegedly obtained and converted the sum of N36 million under circumstances the prosecution described as fraudulent.
At the resumed proceedings, counsel to the defendant urged the court to admit her to bail pending the determination of the case, while the prosecution opposed the application, asking the court to consider the nature of the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the case.
After listening to submissions from both parties, Justice Dipeolu adjourned the matter until June 9, 2026, for ruling on the bail application.
The EFCC had earlier arraigned Blessing CEO on the charges, to which she pleaded not guilty.
The case is expected to continue following the court’s decision on the bail request.
