Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah has approved the appointment of 101 persons as Special Advisers (SPAs), Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs).
The appointments were announced in a statement signed on Monday by Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, said the appointments take effect immediately.
According to him, ”seven persons were appointed as Special Advisers, six as Senior Special Assistants, while 88 others were appointed as Special Assistants.
Those appointed as Special Advisers include Chief S.N.C. Nwagu, Special Adviser on Conflict Resolution and Mediation; Hon. Dr. Fidelis Odo, Special Adviser on Inter-Governmental Affairs and Coordination; Augustine Okoli, Special Adviser on Policy Affairs and Analysis; and Hon. Pedro Nwankwo, Special Adviser on Stakeholders Relations and Community Affairs.
Others are Chimezie Nkwuo, Special Adviser on Economic Development; Chief Vitalis Okonkwo, Special Adviser on Grassroot Coordination; and Peter Andy Omeje, Special Adviser on Commerce and Business Development.
The six Senior Special Assistants appointed are Rachael Okonkwo, SSA on Film and Creative Industry Development; Barr. Okey Ude, SSA on Inter-Party and Mobilization; Hon. Chinedu Chukwunwike, SSA on Party Monitoring; Barr. Peter Chukwujekwu Ogbe, SSA on Legal and Regulatory Compliance; Chukwudi Ozoeluba, SSA on Boundary and Land Dispute Resolution; and Frank Udemezue, SSA on Small and Medium Enterprise Development.
The Special Assistants were assigned responsibilities covering areas including environmental protection, market sanitation and decongestion, infrastructure monitoring, community development, youth engagement, women mobilisation, public communication, civic education, rural development, technology and innovation, sports development, social welfare and government affairs.
Other portfolios include security intelligence, project monitoring, media relations, social media, inter-governmental affairs, political liaison, stakeholder engagement and land development.
