A man identified as Onyenekwe Chijioke Emmanuel, from Akpodim Mbaise, from Ezinihitte Local Government Area of Imo State has been declared wanted by the Imo State Police Command after he was caught in homosexual act.
Our correspondent gathered that on the 29th of July, 2025, Mr Chijioke was caught red-handed while engaging in the illegal act within their neighbourhood.
The spokesman of the Imo State Police Command confirmed that the uncle of the suspect reported the case to the Command.
According to the report, Chijioke has been suspected all the while of engaging in unnatural sexual acts until the eventful day when he was caught pants down with his partner.
He confirmed that the partner to the suspect succumbed to jungle justice but that Chijioke escaped and had since refused to answer summons from the police.
“We have invited him several times but he refused to report himself to the police.
“He is currently at large but we shall get him to answer to the crime of homosexualism, which you know attracts heavy sentences,” the Imo police image maker said.
When contacted, Chijioke’s uncle, Chief Achike Onyenekwe described his action as a taboo.
“He committed a sacrilege against our land and he must pay dearly for it.
“How can a man be making love with his fellow man in this our community, in our family compound?
“No matter how long he runs, he must pay for this atrocity,” Onyenekwe fumed.
However, a fresh twist emerged in the report when Chijioke’s maternal cousin, who identified herself as Nkemakonam, accused the uncle of doing everything to put them away in order to take over their family inheritance.
According to her, “ever since my cousins parents were incapacitated through sickness, their uncle has been doing everything to take over their family land because of its strategic location.
“Just on June 6, 2024, One of his junior brother Onyenekwe Chinecherem died mysteriously, and their uncle is believed by the family to have a hand in the boys death due to how he was threatening over the land dispute.
“Now, he is doing everything to make sure that Chijioke is put out of the way; that’s why he was the one that reported the homosexuality case to the police.
“That man is wicked, but God will judge him,” she declared.
