The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving public transport safety and efficiency following a strategic engagement with the Man O’ War Lagos State Command.
The renewed commitment emerged during a courtesy visit by the Man O’ War Lagos State Command to LAMATA headquarters, aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration to enhance service delivery across Lagos public transportation network.
The delegation led by the State Commander, MC. Ayodele Ajayi, was received by LAMATA Managing Director, Engr. Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo, alongside members of the agency’s management team.
Speaking during the meeting, Engr. Akinajo expressed delight at receiving the new State Commander and commended Man O’ War for its commitment to voluntary service and youth development in Lagos State.

MC. Ajayi, during his presentation, outlined the organisation’s strategic plans to support safety and public order in the state. He proposed the deployment of Man O’ War personnel to assist LAMATA in crowd control and passenger management at bus terminals and along the state’s expanding rail transport system.
According to him, the collaboration would help improve commuter experience while strengthening safety and operational efficiency within Lagos’ transport ecosystem.

To symbolise the growing partnership, the State Commander presented a commemorative plaque to the LAMATA Managing Director.
Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a stronger partnership aimed at delivering a safer, more orderly, and seamless commuting experience for millions of Lagos residents.
