Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Victor Munoz from Osasuna, with the transfer subject to the granting of a work permit and international clearance.

The forward, who is currently representing Spain at the World Cup, underwent a medical examination at the national team’s training base in Tennessee, United States, before signing a long-term contract with the Premier League club.

Munoz becomes the first signing made since the appointment of head coach Andoni Iraola and is expected to join his new teammates later this summer once his World Cup campaign with Spain comes to an end.

The 22-year-old has earned two senior caps for Spain and announced himself on the international stage with a goal on his debut against Serbia in March.

His call-up to the national team followed an impressive season with Osasuna, during which he featured in 34 matches across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing five assists.

Munoz joined Los Rojillos from Real Madrid last summer. He made four first-team appearances for the Spanish giants after progressing through their youth ranks, having previously spent part of his development at the academy of his hometown club, FC Barcelona.

The attacker is expected to feature in Spain’s second World Cup group-stage fixture against Saudi Arabia on Sunday in Atlanta.

Munoz becomes the second addition to Liverpool’s playing squad ahead of the 2026-27 season, following the agreement earlier this year to bring Jeremy Jacquet to Anfield.
