18 Apr 2025

In a proactive step towards promoting environmental sustainability, LG Electronics has partnered with Hinckley Recycling Company to launch a week-long electronic waste collection drive in Lagos, ahead of the 2025 World Earth Day celebration.

The initiative, which runs from April 15 to 21, 2025, is designed to encourage responsible recycling practices and reduce the harmful impact of improperly disposed electronic devices.

Lagos residents are encouraged to drop off their old or unwanted electronics at two designated locations: 104 Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja (opposite Access Bank) and Nelle Mall, 16 Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Victoria Island.

Items accepted include monitors, computers, tablets, e-readers, printers, microwaves, electric jugs, blenders, keyboards, and other household electronic gadgets.

The drop-off centers will be open daily from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM throughout the duration of the drive.

This collection drive serves as a prelude to an upcoming sustainability forum where distinguished Nigerian leaders will convene to discuss environmental innovation and responsible recycling practices.

According to LG Electronics, the partnership underscores their long-term commitment to environmental stewardship and marks another step in building a greener, more sustainable future.
