Following the announcement that Tony Elumelu will conclude his 12-year tenure as Group Chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) on August 21, 2026, prominent business mogul Wale Tinubu has shared a warm and lighthearted reaction to the news.

Tinubu who is the Group Chief Executive of Oando PLC, took to social media to celebrate Elumelu’s transformative leadership.

In his post, Tinubu commended Elumelu’s profound impact on the banking institution, its workforce, and its over 50 million customers.

Beyond the accolades, Tinubu jokingly urged him to stay in his lane.
