The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has said excavation works are currently ongoing at the Anthony Village bus stop area of the state.
The Director, Public Affairs of the ministry, Mrs Bolanle Ogunlola, gave the information in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.
Ogunlola said the project was aimed at providing a lasting solution to the section of the road that had been repeatedly damaged by heavy rainfall.
As part of intervention, she said the affected section would be reconstructed using interlocking stones to improve its durability.
According to the director, traffic management plan will be put in place to allow work to continue safely.
‘’Motorists travelling from Fadeyi and intending to access the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway through Anthony Village will not be able to use the route.
“Motorists intending to use the service lane at Anthony Village Bus Stop to connect Oshodi are advised to avoid the route.
‘’They should remain on the expressway and connect through the available road ahead.
“Motorists travelling from Oshodi and intending to access the Anthony–Ikorodu Road through Anthony Village should note that there is no through road at the project location,” she said.
She added that the Lagos State Government appreciated the understanding and cooperation of all road users during the period of the project.
