Tickets became available for preorder on January 30, 2026, offering fans an early opportunity to secure their spots for the premiere.

In 2025, Apostle Iren, through his production outfit Narrative Entertainment, made a triumphant cinema debut with the faith-based drama “What About Us?”
The film explored the complexities of marriage and quickly became a box-office success, signaling a strong appetite for values-driven storytelling in Nigerian theaters.
Laju Iren now seeks to build on that momentum, bringing her distinct voice to a wider theatrical audience.
Onobiren, which translates to Woman in the Itsekiri language, is described as a celebration of women, faith, and authentic African heritage.
Directed by Famous Iraoya, known for Finding Nina, the film was shot across various locations in Warri and Lagos.
Speaking on the milestone, Laju Iren expressed her excitement about the project’s scope, noting that the film aims to elevate women and the men who support them while showcasing the intersection between daily life and faith.
The film features an ensemble of Nollywood veterans and rising stars, including Patience Ozokwo, Deyemi Okanlawon, Bisola Aiyeola, Ruby Akubueze, Chude Jideonwo, and Desmond Bryce. Backed by partnerships with Africa No Filter and the CC Hub Creative Economy, Onobiren has already received international recognition, having been selected for Entertainment Week Africa and the London Lift Off Festival.
