Hundreds of youths from across the Badagry Division of Lagos State on Tuesday staged a solidarity and appreciation rally in honor of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Congress Progressives (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.

The rally, held at the APC State Secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja, attracted participants from Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin, Ojo, and Badagry Local Government Areas.

The gathering turned the party secretariat into a center of celebration as the youths commended the APC leadership for promoting unity, peace, and internal democracy within the party.

Speaking during the event, the leader of the delegation, Comrade Aladeotan David, popularly known as “Water,” praised Ojelabi for what he described as his inclusive leadership style and efforts toward maintaining harmony among party members.

According to him, the peaceful conduct of the recently concluded APC primary elections in Lagos State demonstrated the strength of the party’s internal democratic process and the commitment of its leadership to fairness and transparency.

He said Ojelabi had shown remarkable leadership by ensuring that the exercise was conducted in an orderly manner while fostering unity among members despite differing political interests.

“Pastor Ojelabi has demonstrated exceptional leadership by ensuring a transparent and orderly process. His ability to unite members across different interests has further strengthened the APC in Lagos State,” David said.

Also addressing journalists, Ambassador Saheed Tijani from the Iba Local Council Development Area commended the Governance Advisory Council, led by Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, for providing direction and stability to the party.

He described the council as a key force behind the growth and success of the APC in Lagos State, noting that its guidance had helped maintain unity and strengthen the party over the years.

The youths also expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to national development.

They further celebrated the emergence of Princess Damilola Sonayon-James as the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, describing her selection as a positive step for youth inclusion, competence, and broader participation in governance.

Responding on behalf of the party leadership, Ojelabi thanked the youths for their support and loyalty to the APC.

The APC chairman, who was accompanied by the Acting National Vice Chairman (South-West), Dr. Lateef Ibirogba, and members of the State Executive Committee, urged the youths to remain committed to the ideals of the party.

He also encouraged them to continue contributing positively to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria while supporting the APC’s programs and vision for the future.
