The Lagos State Government is ramping up efforts to position the state as a premier travel and cultural destination, following a strategic meeting between the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila, and Ambassador Ikechi Uko, Chief Executive Officer of AKWAABA Africa Travel Market.
The meeting, which also included Mr. Ladejobi Ibrahim, Director of the Monuments Management Department, and staff members Mr. Adejuwon Badejo and Mrs. Opemipo Oluwa, focused on strengthening collaboration in destination marketing and tourism development.
Officials discussed leveraging AKWAABA’s internationally respected platforms to enhance Lagos’ global visibility and attract investors, tourists, and key industry stakeholders.
