Mr Noheem Adams, Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has declared his intention to seek re-election in Eti-Osa Constituency I in 2027.

Adams made the declaration on Saturday in Lagos while addressing party members, supporters and community leaders at a political rally.

The APC lawmaker, representing Eti-Osa Constituency I, said his decision followed his endorsement as the party’s consensus candidate.

Adams, Chairman of the House Committee on Business Rules, described the endorsement as recognition of his legislative performance and constituency projects.

The report states that the rally attracted party loyalists, residents, youth groups, women and other political stakeholders.

Several party leaders and influential figures from the constituency also attended the declaration ceremony.

Addressing supporters, Adams said his endorsement reflected the confidence party leaders had in his leadership and service.

“Based on popular demand, party leaders have endorsed me to seek another term in the Lagos State House of Assembly,” he said.

He thanked traditional rulers, youths and party members for their support ahead of the party’s primary election.

“I appreciate all our royal fathers, youths and APC members for this overwhelming endorsement,” Adams said.

He said party leaders requested an account of his achievements over the past three years in the assembly.

“I explained the developmental projects, infrastructure interventions and empowerment programmes we have delivered across the constituency,” he said.

Adams said the endorsement showed he remained accessible, available and accountable to the people.

He said leaders across wards and local government areas in the constituency supported his candidature.

Adams said Eti-Osa had enjoyed major democratic dividends under the current administration.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for infrastructural projects, especially the coastal road development affecting the constituency.

Adams said traffic challenges along the Lekki-Epe corridor had reduced significantly due to ongoing interventions.

He also praised Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for responding to infrastructure concerns in the constituency.

“The governor has addressed many of our challenges, including road rehabilitation and solar lighting projects,” he said.

Adams also acknowledged the Speaker, Mr Mudashiru Obasa, for legislative support through budget appropriations.

He expressed confidence that the APC would record victory across Lagos in the 2027 general elections.

“We are prepared for victory in the presidential, governorship and legislative elections in 2027,” he said.

The report states that several Lagos lawmakers have recently declared interest in re-election ahead of the 2027 polls.
