The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted an electoral committee to oversee the conduct of party primaries ahead of the July 12 local government elections.

The committee is chaired by former National Legal Adviser of the APC, Babatunde Ogala, with Babarinde Nurudeen appointed as the committee’s secretary.

The announcement was made on Monday by the party’s spokesperson in the state, Seye Oladejo.

According to Oladejo, the committee has been mandated to manage all pre-election activities and processes, including screening, primaries, and coordination of party stakeholders in the lead-up to the polls.

“The committee is empowered to oversee all the activities and processes leading to the conduct of the elections into the grassroots positions.

“The party has considered the immense experience of the gentlemen in making the appointment. We have no doubt that they will deliver on these important assignments,”Oladejo stated.

He further urged all party members and stakeholders to cooperate fully with the committee to ensure a smooth, credible, and successful electoral process.
