The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has established a Local Organising Committee (LOC) to coordinate administrative and operational activities for the party’s 2027 primary elections.
Officially inaugurated on Saturday, May 9, 2026, the committee is tasked with overseeing strategic planning, mobilization, media coordination, security, and the general logistics required for the conduct of the primaries throughout the state.
The party has appointed Mutiu Are to serve as the Chairman of the committee, with Olayinka Adekunle acting as Secretary.
Under their leadership, several sub-committees have been formed to manage specific functions.
The Planning and Strategy Sub-Committee includes Oyinlomo Danmole, Jide Adams, Abayomi Oluyomi, Folashade Bakare, Olugbenga Nollah, Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, Toyin Suarau, and Segun Ogunlewe.
Meanwhile, the Contacts and Mobilisation Sub-Committee is composed of Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Sunday Aboyade, Olayinka Olusanya, Fatai Akinderu, Abayomi Daramola, J.S. Babatunde, Olugbenga Abdullahi, Kazeem Kayode Eleshin, and Fatai Ayoola.
To ensure effective communication and safety, the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee will be managed by Jide Adams, Balogun Yomi, Ayo Olugbenro, and Haffez Odunewu, while the Security Sub-Committee consists of Ajibade Taiwo Oyekan, Adeola Jokomba, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Kamorudeen Adegoke Ajape.
Additionally, the Special Duties Sub-Committee features Lateef Ibirogba, Damilola James, Akeem Muniru, and Mukhtar Tijani.
This comprehensive administrative framework is designed to ensure the smooth conduct of the APC primary elections across Lagos State in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
