Kwara Poly rector stressed the importance of education for emancipations.

The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed has described education and knowledge as tools for society and human emancipations.

Mohammed stated this in llorin during a courtesy visit by the executives of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) and members of the Gambari Development Association.

The rector, who was recently reinstated by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq after four months of suspension said the Governor’s decision to reinstate him reflects not only a belief in his capabilities but also a deep commitment to the values of integrity, fair governance, and justice.

He added that he is aware of the immense responsibilities that come with his reinstatement, and promised to approach his duties with renewed vigor.

The Rector explained that the best approach to societal challenges lie solely on knowledge and wisdom, and the ability to navigate through every society situations.

He noted that the institution has been at the forefront of technological and vocational education in Nigeria and contributing meaningfully to the manpower needs of the country.

Mohammed commended the State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his support and commitment to the development of the state education sector, stressing that the state education sector has witnessed greater improvement in the last seven years.

Earlier, the IEDPU executives led by Alhaji Abdulrauf Babatunde Issa and Engr. Awodi Ayodele respectively, celebrated Engr. Abdul’s reinstatement, and expressed support and confidence for his leadership at the Polytechnic.

“Ilorin Emirates will continue to support all efforts towards the promotion and development of education in the Emirates for the sustainable development of the state as a whole.” Issa said.
