Kwara Gov’t trains 50 Teachers on AI, digital entrepreneurship

No fewer than 50 teachers in Kwara State have been trained in digital entrepreneurship, STEAM, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to strengthen curriculum delivery and equip students with globally relevant skills for emerging digital learning challenges.

The training program, held in collaboration with Digital Innovation Schools Nigeria’s Tech2Grassroots Africa Pilot Programme, targeted public and private school teachers drawn from various locations across the state.

Speaking during the program, the State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe said the initiative would empower teachers with the requisite skills to effectively deliver the entrepreneurship curriculum.

He noted that the training would expose teachers to methods for seamlessly navigating evolving global education demands through technology integration and innovation.

The Commissioner, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Olarewaju Rebecca Bake, noted that the training would boost teacher morale and improve overall learning outcomes across public and private schools statewide.

The Chief Executive Officer of KwaraTech Academy, Mr. Ayobami Oludele commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his sustained education reforms.

He urged participants to maximize the opportunity to acquire skills for societal development and impact.

Participants were trained on the practical application of digital tools, entrepreneurship concepts, and STEAM methodologies to enhance teaching innovation and improve students’ access to modern, technology-driven learning resources in the classroom.
