The Kwara State Government has intensified its efforts to sustain the credibility of academic assessments by engaging school principals and key education stakeholders on best practices and shared responsibilities across the state.
During an interactive meeting with principals of senior secondary schools held at the Cherubim and Seraphim College in Ilorin, the State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, emphasized that maintaining examination integrity is a collective responsibility.
He noted that the current administration remains dedicated to upholding standards that reflect the excellence and credibility of the state’s education system.
Dr. Olohungbebe acknowledged the consistent support and professionalism of school administrators, attributing the ongoing improvements in student learning outcomes to their dedication and partnership with the government.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Commissioner commended the principals and teachers for their steadfast commitment, which he identified as the primary driver of progress within Kwara schools.
The Commissioner called for enhanced collaboration to ensure that all examination processes are conducted seamlessly and in strict accordance with established guidelines, thereby reinforcing public confidence in the sector.
Earlier in the program, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Olanrewaju Rebecca Bake, highlighted the state government’s sustained investment in education.
She urged school leaders to remain vigilant and proactive in maintaining high standards while fostering safe and conducive learning environments for all students.
Responding on behalf of the administrators, the State President of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Comrade Baba Saliu, lauded the government’s interventions in the education sector.
He reaffirmed the commitment of principals to align with policies that promote credible and transparent examination practices across the state.
