Kwara commends NCDMB on teachers’ education transformation initiatives

Kwara State Government has commended the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB)for impactful teachers’ training and school transformation initiatives across selected communities in Ilorin, the State Capital.

The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, gave the commendation at the commissioning of renovated school projects executed by NCDMB through its partner, Allen and Coos Limited, in Ilorin.

The Commissioner, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Rebecca Olanrewaju Bake, described organisations as reliable partners in advancing quality education and human capital development in the state.

Klohungbebe lauded the sustained reforms in the education sector under the administration of the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, noting that collaborative interventions continue to complement government’s efforts, particularly in strengthening teacher capacity through targeted training programmes aimed at enhancing classroom effectiveness and learning outcomes.

The Team Lead of Allen and Coos Limited, Adebusola Koiki, commended the Ministry’s commitment to improving educational standards and fostering impactful partnerships.

Koiki highlighted some of the key infrastructure interventions, including the renovation of classrooms at Government Day Secondary School, Shao and the installation of a solar-powered ICT laboratory at Baboko Community Secondary School, Ilorin.

Other projects were the construction of four toilet units and borehole reticulation at Baboko LGEA School as well as donation of textbooks and exercise books to students of Community Secondary School, Iponrin.among others
