Kano Govt. doles N93.1m to 177 law students

The Kano State Government has awarded financial support to the tune of N93,102,000 to 177 law students of the state origin to support their legal education at the Nigerian Law School.

Secretary of the State Government, Alhaji Faruk Umar, disclosed this during the presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries in Kano on Thursday.

Umar said that the support was part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the legal profession and promote access to justice.

He also said that each of the 177 beneficiaries would get N526, 000, adding that the administration recognises the critical importance of legal practitioners in safeguarding the rule of law and ensuring fairness in society.

Also speaking the state Commissioner for Justice, Abdulkarim Maude, SAN, expressed confidence that the beneficiaries would excel academically and make the state proud.
