The Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State, Muhammad Dikuma, has cautioned party members against unruly conduct, singling out a faction he described as the “Badaru Boys.”

In a strongly worded statement, Dikuma condemned their behaviour as harmful to both the party and the broader democratic process.

He raised concerns that the state’s political space was being overtaken by disruptive tendencies, which he said were eroding civility in political engagement.

According to him, the group has become notorious for constant disorder, creating an image that undermines democratic ideals and the principles of good governance.

The APC Secretary pointed to an incident in Majiya town last year, where the “Badaru Boys” allegedly stirred unrest in an attempt to discredit the incumbent Governor, Malam Umar A. Namadi.

Dikuma alleged that their actions were driven by desperation to elevate former Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, now serving as Minister of Defence.

He insisted that politics should strengthen relationships and foster progress rather than fuel division and outdated rivalries that corrode trust and unity.

Dikuma appealed to party members to refrain from conduct detrimental to the APC, stressing the need for discipline and respect within the party’s ranks.
