Mr Oluyemi Ibiloye, Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo State, has commended the smooth conduct of the ongoing Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations in the state.

Ibiloye gave the commendation on Friday during an extensive monitoring exercise across designated Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres in some parts of the state.

The commandant, accompanied by the Ondo State Coordinator of JAMB, Barr. Abdulhakeem Abdulkadri, expressed satisfaction with the orderly arrangement, punctuality of candidates, and strict adherence to examination guidelines.

Ibiloye, who applauded JAMB for its consistent efforts in improving the examination process through the use of technology, said the CBT system had significantly enhanced transparency and efficiency.

He assured candidates, parents, and examination officials of the corps’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding all examination centres across the state.

The commandant, therefore, cautioned members of the public against spreading unverified information, particularly rumours suggesting possible disruption of the examination by disgruntled elements.

According to him, adequate security measures have been put in place to forestall any such occurrences, hence, citizens should remain calm and law-abiding.

He further charged NSCDC personnel deployed to the centres to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and vigilance in the discharge of their duties.

“Proactive service delivery and strict adherence to operational guidelines are essential to sustaining the integrity of the examination process.

“NSCDC will continue working closely with JAMB and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the nationwide examination is conducted successfully without any security breaches,” he said.

The JAMB state Coordinator, Abdulkadri, commended NSCDC for its visible presence and professionalism, saying the deployment of personnel to strategic locations played a crucial role in maintaining peace and preventing any form of disruption.

The coordinator described the collaboration between JAMB officials and security agencies as commendable and instrumental to the success of the exercise.
