The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has removed 23 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres from its list of accredited facilities over technical shortcomings identified during its recent mock examination exercise.
According to a statement issued by JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, on Friday, the affected centres are spread across several states, including Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, and Plateau. The board stated that the centres failed to meet required standards during the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination held on March 28, 2026.
“Following the conduct of the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, JAMB has delisted 23 Computer-Based Test centres for technical deficiencies,” the statement read.
Among the affected centres are DE-LITE CBT Centre in Maitama, Abuja; The Oracle Lens in Nnokwa, Anambra State; SAF Polytechnic in Oyo State; and Greenhills Academy in Itele. In addition to the delisting, JAMB issued formal warnings to 88 centres found to have minor technical issues, urging them to address the deficiencies ahead of the main examination.
The board also announced that HA-SHEM Academy in Yaba, Lagos, has been barred from participating in any future JAMB examinations. JAMB explained that the mock UTME serves a dual purpose: helping candidates familiarise themselves with the CBT format and enabling the board to evaluate the readiness of examination centres.
The board emphasised that its post-examination review revealed lapses in several centres, prompting decisive action to safeguard the credibility of the process.
