The Indian Navy vessel INS Sunayna has made its second port call in Phuket under the IOS Sagar mission, reinforcing regional maritime cooperation across the Indian Ocean.
Arriving after a six-day voyage from Malé, the deployment features a multinational crew drawn from 16 partner navies.
This underscores efforts to enhance interoperability and strengthen collective maritime security under the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) framework.
During the port visit, engagements with the Royal Thai Navy are scheduled, alongside cultural exchanges, sporting activities, and public ship visits aimed at deepening people-to-people connections.
The mission aligns with India’s MAHASAGAR vision, which promotes collaboration, trust, and shared security interests across the region.
Following Phuket, IOS Sagar is set to continue its diplomatic and naval outreach with planned stops in Jakarta, Singapore, Yangon, Chittagong, and Colombo, further advancing partnerships with key maritime nations.
