Former Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Dr Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has lauded the peaceful conduct APC presidential primary election in Lagos State.
Olabanji-Oba, also APC women leader in Ikorodu, spoke during the primary at Awolowo Road, Oke Ota-Ona area of the town.
She said the turnout reflected Nigerians’ loyalty and confidence in the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and support for his second-term ambition.
According to her, the peaceful conduct and large participation showed that the APC remained united and committed to continuity.
“Our president has done well in the last three years of his assumption of duty. I think he deserves support from all Nigerians.
“We thank God that the primary election is peaceful, successful and widely attended by party members and supporters,” Olabanji-Oba said.
Olabanji-Oba, a member of the Local Government Civil Service Commission, prayed for greater success for the president.
She urged Nigerians, irrespective of tribe or background, to continue supporting Tinubu in his efforts to transform the country.
Also speaking, APC Chairman in Ikorodu Local Government Area, Mr Jimoh Tijani, commended party loyalists for their overwhelming turnout.
Tijani urged members to mobilise more support for the party ahead of the general election.
“The huge turnout is a testament to the goodness and impactful projects our president has done.
“We thank God that the process was peaceful, security presence was felt and everything went well,” Tijani added.
An APC leader in Ikorodu, Mr Monsur Solebo, urged members not to relent after the primary election.
Solebo advised party members to continue to mobilise for the APC ahead of the general election.
